AMR/AGV Goods Transport
AMR
Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) can navigate freely throughout their environment, while avoiding live obstacles that may enter their path. Many AMRs use Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) and Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) to continuously create live maps of their environment. AMR’s can safely collaborate with humans and use vision to detect people or equipment that cross into the path. In the event of path obstruction, the AMR will stop or navigate a new path around the obstruction.
AGV
Autonomous guided vehicles (AGVs) are programmed to carry out various logistic and material handling tasks. AGVs operate on guided pathways using guide wire, magnetic tape, and QR codes. are usually designed to carry heavy loads. LiDAR, RFID, and Vision technology allow them to detect and stop to avoid collision with obstacles that cross its path.
