A robotic cell is traditionally a safety enclosed area where an automated process is done by an industrial robot. A robotic cell is often referred to as a robotic system or automated work cell. A cell includes the robot(s), workspace, controller, and safety system around it. Robotic cell safety systems are of paramount importance, as they define the work cell geographically and will not operate if boundaries are breached.
