Leadership Spotlight: Peggy Gerking

Director of Service in Oregon, Peggy Gerking

We’ve spoken with Peggy before, but we wanted to catch up with her again as she has been on an upward trajectory. These days she oversees Service for all of Oregon, covering four branches from Medford to the Portland Metro and out to Bend. It’s a big job but Peggy handles it with ease.

Where did you get your start at Toyota Lift Northwest? In 2004. I joined the company as the Dispatcher/ Service Supervisor, back then we were CB Toyota Lift.

What’s your favorite part of working here? Being around the people in this company. From our support staff to the managers, we have all created a working environment that is communicative, understanding and we strive to lift each other up.

Any advice for someone starting out in this field? Give yourself at least 6 months to learn the basics of the job and then know it will be a year before you truly understand. Go out and watch the techs making repairs, ask questions, make mistakes and lastly, enjoy what you do.

What are you looking forward to in the next few years at Toyota Lift Northwest? I am looking forward to continuing to help grow our company. Taking new opportunities and turning them in to sustainable revenue sources and expanding our foothold in the Material Handling market.

How long have you been with the company? 19 years in October.

What do you like to do with you’re not working? I enjoy singing, anything music, crafting with my Cricut and being with family and friends.
