This new slate of vehicles all come with an impressive set of features designed to increase overall performance and improve operator comfort. One such upgrade is the use of Ductile Iron in the base legs. Compared to steel, ductile iron is stronger; more shock absorbent, impact resistance, corrosion resistant, and resists abrasion better, improving the life of these vital components. Another new addition is the 7-inch touchscreen display. It gives you real time info on your truck’s performance such as battery charge and load weight. Need to set the lift height or travel speed? The screen gives you access to programming the trucks performance. You’ll also be able to perform diagnostics all from this screen. AC travel motors are now joined by AC lift motors so that control is smooth and precise no matter what you’re doing.
The Toyota Reach Truck
Our original reach truck just got better. In addition to slick new body style and the features mentioned above, it now includes three new driver stance options: standard, fore/aft stance, and sidestance. The fore/aft stance positions the driver towards the direction of travel and load handling. If your drivers must travel longer distances, this can come in handy. To facilitate this, these trucks come with secondary driver controls for tractor-first travel. Sidestance trucks are perfect for when your driver changes direction often, such as dock to stock. Padding is bolstered on backrest for increased comfort.
Quick Numbers: 2,500 – 4,500 lb load capacity, 37′ max lift height
The Toyota High-Capacity Reach Truck
As storage demands increase and real estate is at a premium, sometimes the only direction you can go is up. Now there’s a reach truck built to keep up and up and up! The new Toyota High Capacity Reach Truck has a maximum lift height of 45 feet, lifting 2,150 lbs to a height of 42 feet.
Quick Numbers: 3,200 – 4,500 lb load capacity, 45’ max lift height
The Toyota Moving Mast Reach Truck
If you’re looking for a reach truck that doesn’t lose its load center at height, maybe it’s time to take a different approach. Introducing the Moving Mast Reach Truck. It uses a hydraulic rail system to move the entire mast forward, increasing stability. Looking up constantly while moving a load can put a strain on the operator’s neck but this reach truck alleviates that pain by offering a cab that tilts back 4 degrees and a clear view overhead cover.
Quick Numbers: 3,000 – 5,500 lb load capacity, 42’ max lift height
The Toyota Indoor/Outdoor Moving Mast Reach Truck
Your usual reach truck is typically confined indoors, even when your racking isn’t. That comes to an end with the introduction of the Indoor/Outdoor version of the moving mast reach truck. Clad in larger, pneumatic-style (featuring a generous tread pattern) tires, this reach truck has the ground clearance and traction to navigate your outdoor storage. You can further strengthen it’s outdoor capability with available weatherization packages.
Quick Numbers: 3,500 lb load capacity, 24.5’ max lift height
The Toyota Multidirectional Reach Truck
When it comes to wide/long loads, the traditional solution has been a side loader. Those trucks are exceptionally capable but face limitations in terms of maneuverability. On the other hand, the multi-directional reach truck can work both as a side loader and as a standard reach truck. The base leg wheels can turn 90 degrees to move laterally with loads up to 22’ feet long. It can also be equipped with forks to handle pallet less racking and work with cantilevers. This truck is a great option when you have a wide variety of products and/or racking and need one lift that can handle it all.
